Job Description:

Purpose of Role: Additional Technical Safety Engineer of major projects for all the phases of execution starting from Bid Engineering, Post Contract basic Engineering, Detailed Engineering, Follow on Engineering & Safety related Regulatory Compliance / FSA Close out / Final Project Documentation. In addition, function as Deputy Lead /Senior Specialist Technical Safety Engineer as required to meet the functional requirement of the Organization.

  1. Technical Safety design aspects of all WBSs like Topsides, Hull & Turret as applicable of an Offshore Oil & Gas facility.

Without conducting Formal Safety Studies, provide reasonable estimated Design Accidental Load values related to Dropped Object, Blast Over pressures, PFP and other Technical Safety inputs etc. as required during Bid Engineering Stage with technical justification.

  • Technical Safety Philosophy & Design Basis
  • MDR of Technical Safety Activities of Project.
  • Activity / Schedule Planning
  • RFQ / Scope of Work of Safety Studies

Technical Safety inputs to multi-disciplinary deliverables like Topsides & Hull GA, Accommodation & Helideck GA etc

2. Human factors and Working Environment leadership and implementation of such principles in multi-disciplinary design.

  • Work Environment (Lighting, Noise, Chemical Exposure)
  • Human Factor Specification for Project
  • Human Factor Checklist

3. Ensure Regulatory Compliance requirements are incorporated in the Design.

Review and incorporation of CLASS comments on each of Technical Safety Documents

6.Loss Prevention Hands on Calculation / Study Report:

  • Fire Water Demand calculation

 

  • LSA /FSA Study (Compliance with CLASS Rules)
  • Fire Water P&IDs
  • Steady State & Transient Study of FW System ( proficient in PIPENET all Modules
  • Familiarization to determine maximum foreseeable fire water and foam demand and provide basis of active water-based fire protection system sizing with Class Rules; Determination of Pipe size, quantity of spray nozzle required and deluge grid for both foam and fire water system.
  • Compliance with Class Rules about fire protection assessment, Radiation and Dispersion limits; Explosion Overpressure limits; F&G Detector locations.

Pipe Net Spray/Sprinkler Module hands on experience to determine flow rate and pressure required at the fire water system through simulation. PIPENET Model generated using piping isometric, nozzle date and network arrangement and piping specification.
